Lady Chatterley’s Lover is one of the last works of British author and poet D. H. Lawrence (1885-1930). Constance Chatterley is trapped in a sexless marriage due to an injury sustained by her husband, Sir Clifford, during the war. Lady Chatterley’s Lover continues to be to this day, a pioneer of sexuality in literature and a positive role model for sensual and adult themes and the importance of language and personal freedom.
